Roles & Responsibilities
Branch /Dept. IT Business Solution & Application
Reporting to Head eChannels Application
Job Brief:
This is a senior Techno-Functional role with the combination of business, technical knowledge and experience as well as Management and leadership skills; Proficiency in banking and finance domain
especially with exposure to Digital channels is an essential requirement for this role. This role demands expertise in project and software management lifecycles.
Be a single point of contact for business and serve as an active link between Business and IT- Technology team
Liaise with Business in finalizing, prioritizing and delivering the business requirements
Handle feasibility / viability studies for new projects with specific focus on Digital channels
Technology enhancement as per the change management process.
Ensure Audit / Regulatory compliance
Management reporting
Represent digital transformation team in project steering committee including C-level executives
Vendor and contract management.
Also responsible for eChannels Applications of the Bank. The Applications referenced here consists of the following and any other new support systems the bank may implement for the business:
Mobile Banking (OCH) Infosys & Internet Banking (OCH) Infosys
OneSpan ( VASCO )
Mobile Wallet
SMS Application
Corporate Adapter & B2B
Call center systems
Responsibility / Accountability
1. Technical and Business Support:
To manage and support implementation of banking and transformation projects esp. related to Digital channels space
Establish and maintain relationships with business units/ operations
SPOC for Business to understand their requirements from a Business perspective and suggest viable technical solutions
Manage business expectations, negotiate with business, priorities and deliver viable solutions on schedule
Study the requirements provided by Business, and do perform a detail impact analysis on the change requests.
Will use the Bank s methodology for the Software Development Life Cycle including any Software Engineering tool if necessary approved by Bank.
Must set milestones for activities undertaken to improve the overall performance and coordinate between various teams as required for technology implementation / enhancements.
Liaise with the Project Managers/PMO/ Business team for timely completion of tasks as per the set rules of Bank s Quality Management System.
Engage with Technology, training, PMO and branches to ensure system roll-out is done as per requirements
Achieve well-documented and controlled development so that clarity and transparency is maintained within the application taken in for enhancement.
The resource will cooperate with other team members; contribute ideas to help the team become more effective.
Leadership and Team Management:
Planning and managing eChannel s team s / resources
Set objectives and define clear roles and responsibilities. Provide required support and coaching to the team
Transfer Domain expertise to the team and enable cross functional knowledge sharing within the team.
Groom local talents and assure successors development at all levels
Support new product Roll-out.
Enhance the process to ensure agility and speed to market
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application support specialists, ensuring high performance, and professional growth.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Build and lead a high-performing team of technical specialists.
Manage resource allocation and capacity planning
Managerial activities:
Track and Manage all technical risks and dependencies across project assigned.
Resource Management planning, tracking & utilization of resources
Budget & Cost control
Processing of vendor payments, reporting of MIS
Managing Audit / Compliance requirements
Handle activities related to Training
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, operations, and business units, to align support activities with organizational goals.
Provide regular updates to senior management on system performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Participate and contribute to the department s budget planning, and ensure AMC contracts are frequently reviewed and renewed, and the due invoices are processed on time.
Audit & Compliance Management
Oversee the preparation and execution of internal and external audit processes.
Maintain documentation of all system controls, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Coordinate responses to audit findings and implement necessary remediation measures.
Assign responsibility and deadlines for addressing the audit findings, and track the progress on regular basis to avoid overdues.
Develop and maintain relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Min 10 years of eChannels support and projects in banking with exposure and cross functional understanding of other banking systems
Advanced Knowledge in Digital banking applications is a must with appropriate technical and functional expertise.
In depth knowledge of Digital business, technology and Retail or Corporate channels like Internet, Mobile and Wallet Knowledge is essential.
Software development lifecycle and should follow standard development process such as code review, creating/executing unit test cases etc.
Strong experience in backend development including data analysis, data modelling, design and implementation.
Excellent communication, documentation, negotiation, presentation, and problem solving.
Strong in relationship and stakeholder management
A university degree in any discipline
Master s Degree / MBA / PMP preferred
Experience in banking environment in Middle East is preferred.
Experience in Infosys product (OCH and DEH)
Experience in call center systems/infrastructure
