Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The University Professor is responsible for teaching, research, and mentoring students at college level. The primary duties of a University Professor include developing and delivering lectures, leading seminars and discussion groups, designing and grading assignments, and providing academic guidance and support to students. The university professor is responsible for four domains, respectively: Research, Enterprise and innovation, Academic Leadership, Teaching & Learning as per university rules and regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and deliver lectures and course materials for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
- Leader in delivering relevant research activities.
- Produce significant research outputs with national and international impact.
- Support developing and sustaining research culture within the university.
- Act as a liaison between the university and external organizations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the program chair or the College Dean.
Desired Candidate Profile
A Ph.D. degree from a recognized university in a relevant academic discipline.
Ten years of teaching experience at the college or university level.
Substantial research output of national and/or international recognition.
Proven academic and research excellence in their field of expertise.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of current trends and developments in their field of expertise.
Ability to mentor and guide junior faculty members.
Strong understanding of academic accreditation and compliance standards.
Strong leadership and management skills.
A commitment to excellence in teaching and research.
Strong understanding of current trends and developments in higher education.
Ability to provide academic counseling and support to students.
