Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess furniture condition, identifying repair needs and recommending appropriate solutions, ensuring optimal restoration.
  • Precisely measure, cut, and sew fabric, leather, or other materials to fit furniture frames, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Apply padding, springs, and webbing to frames, ensuring structural integrity and comfort, showcasing expertise in furniture construction.
  • Employ a variety of hand tools and machinery, including sewing machines and staple guns, to expertly complete upholstery projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent, providing a foundational understanding of craftsmanship.
  • Completion of a vocational upholstery program or apprenticeship, demonstrating a commitment to the trade.
  • Certification in upholstery or related fields, showcasing specialized skills and knowledge.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the upholstery industry, showcasing practical expertise and problem-solving abilities.
