Urban Designer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Urban Designer to join our team! In this role you will contribute to a variety of urban development and masterplanning projects that help shape the future of our cities.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform research, analysis and design development tasks within project teams.

• Develop diagrams, drawings, reports, presentations and visual materials.

• Develop technical inputs to support planning studies at local, regional, and strategic level.

• Support the preparation of urban design and masterplanning packages across multiple design stages (Pre-Concept, Concept and Detailed Masterplan).

• Collaborate with internal disciplines to support the development of integrated design solutions.

• Assist in ensuring project outputs comply with local planning policies, development regulations and international best practices.

• Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of design quality.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or closely related field.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in urban design or urban planning consultancy.

• Experience contributing to masterplanning studies, conceptual layouts and urban design proposals.

• Understanding of urban design principles and planning frameworks.

• Strong graphic, analytical and presentation skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino or similar platforms.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master s degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture or related discipline.

• Professional accreditation such as AICP, RTPI, RIBA or equivalent.

• Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating a proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership on project tasks
