Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all plant utility systems, including boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, and water treatment facilities.

  • Monitor and analyze utility system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all utility equipment.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards related to utility operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports for all utility systems and activities.
  • Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction within utility operations.
  • Supervise and train utility technicians and support staff as needed.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of utility system upgrades or expansions.
  • Respond promptly to utility-related emergencies and participate in root cause analysis for incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in utility engineering or plant utilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of utility systems such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, HVAC, and water treatment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work on-site and respond to emergencies outside of regular hours if required.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
