Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Review, authorize, and execute credit overrides received through all channels (ICCS, BPS, GFS etc), ensuring strict adherence to established processes, policies, and delegation matrix, while maintaining exceptional customer service and the highest standards of data integrity
  • Ensure adherence to agreed SLA and TAT, while maintaining customer first approach.
  • Investigate operational incidents related to credit overrides, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and timely reporting of Risk incidents.
  • Conduct periodical review of procedures to ensure effectiveness.
  • Support the onboarding and ongoing training of team members on credit override processes, risk controls, and system updates.
  • Adhere to applicable Operations policies and procedures of the Bank, relevant guidelines of UAE Central Bank/Government
  • Handle other functions of Governance, Risk and Control as and when allocated.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process automation, digitization, and best practice adoption to enhance control effectiveness and operational resilience.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and explanations to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, Banking, Business Administration

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 5 years of experience in banking operations, with direct exposure to credit appraisal and credit override processes.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience is an advantage.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Solid understanding of wholesale banking operations and regulatory requirements.

SKILLS

  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Analytical and investigative mindset, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
  • Effective team management and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to a dynamic, high-volume environment.
