Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To monitor, control and arrange Yard Equipment as per operation demand.

To support quay side operation during real time operation with the effective solution on every challenge considering safety factors and compliance with terminal policy and procedures.

Ensure efficient and highly productive vessel planning with due consideration to the vessel stability and safety under load and discharge operations.

Preparation and execution of crane split and discharge and load sequence to support, achieve and sustain productivity targets per quay crane operation.

Maintain ownership of the vessels under operations and assist yard equipment controller and yard planner if planning disturbances occur during vessel operation.

Controls the execution of the vessel operation plan.

Ensure efficient communication with the lines for all needed information from both side, including data transfers.

Responsible for providing information about vessel operations progress to internal staff, vessel s command, shipping lines and agents.

To provide all required documents to vessel command, execution team to ensure timely delivery of documents.

Visit vessel upon completion ensuring that vessel s command and shipping lines receive final departure plan and all related paperwork in a timely manner. (Can be shared via E-mail and get the confirmation receipt in writing)

Filling and archiving of vessel planning related documents in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Optimizing Quay and yard operation to achieve set KPI.

Responsible for safety & discipline in work area.

Ensure compliance with Fatal Risk Standards.

Ensure compliance with Safe Work Practices.

Ensure compliance with HSE policy.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience in container terminal operations: 3 - 5 years
  • Understanding of vessel characteristics/ dimensions, factors impacting vessel stability
  • Work experience in container terminal operating system
  • Education: Diploma/ Graduate
  • Excellent computer operating skills
  • Vessel productivity
    • Container moves / Crane hours (GMPH)
    • Container moves / gross vessel working hour (BMPH)
    • Container moves / net vessel working hour (WBMPH)
  • Yard equipment productivity.
  • Truck Turnaround Time (TTT)
  • Reduction in lost time incidents
  • Zero fatalities
  • Detailed KPI in annual PMC based on demand and direction.
