Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations to diagnose health issues in animals.
• Provide medical treatment, including surgeries and wound care, to injured animals.
• Administer vaccinations to prevent common diseases in pets and livestock.
• Prescribe medications and advise on pain management for animals.
• Educate pet owners on nutrition and preventive care best practices.
• Keep detailed records of animal histories, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
• Participate in research to develop new surgical techniques and treatments.
• Supervise and train veterinary assistants and support staff effectively.
• Collaborate with veterinary specialists for advanced animal care cases.
• Perform routine health inspections to ensure animal welfare in various settings.
• Handle emergency cases and provide urgent care outside regular hours.
• Develop health promotion and disease prevention programs for communities.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the respective state or region.
• Strong foundational knowledge of animal anatomy and medical practices.
• Proven experience as a veterinary doctor or in similar capacity.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical stamina to manage long hours and demanding cases efficiently.
