Roles & Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Grow baseline trade and cash revenue by enhancing returns from existing clients within your portfolio to meet individual and team targets.
- Work collaboratively with coverage relationship managers across MENA to identify and acquire new clients as well as new business flows within the established trade and cash strategy.
- Consistently achieve personal pipeline targets while demonstrating exemplary pipeline management skills and behaviours that set the standard for others.
- Develop comprehensive Transaction Banking account plans for key clients, actively participating in client planning sessions and supporting relationship managers with their overall account planning exercises.
- Diversify revenue sources within your designated client portfolio by cross-selling the full suite of cash and trade financing products rather than focusing on just one or two offerings.
- Demonstrate fluency in industry trends, risk factors, technology advancements, funding issues impacting treasury, finance, procurement, and risk elements of corporate treasury centres.
- Manage complex regional and global RFIs/RFPs for designated client portfolios by coordinating input from various GTB functions and regions to ensure thorough responses.
- Build strong working relationships across all stakeholder groups including Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Relationship Managers both within MENA/EMEA and other regions.
- Act as the first line of defence in mitigating deal-related risks pertaining to compliance, legal matters, and risk management; escalate any weaknesses or breaches promptly while contributing to continual improvement of risk frameworks.
- Plan and monitor Transaction Banking business activity including financial performance and associated risks while providing coaching or training to internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of Transaction Banking.
Desired Candidate Profile
Extensive experience at Vice President level in cash management, liquidity management, trade finance sales, origination at a Tier 1 global financial institution. Demonstrated revenue growth over a two-year business cycle with ongoing enhancement of critical factors such as new-to-bank revenue generation, utilisation rates, balance sheet optimisation, and diversification through cross-sell initiatives. Comprehensive technical knowledge across all Transaction Banking products including USD deposits, open account structured trade solutions, guarantees, letters of credit collections as well as other vanilla trade products. Solid experience using Transaction Banking channels/platforms combined with an understanding of emerging themes/technologies shaping the industry. Excellent influencing skills coupled with negotiation abilities enabling you to operate effectively at all levels written communication skills; verbal presentations; creation of impactful presentation materials. Strong understanding of risk factors affecting credit decisions; legal compliance; operational requirements across the spectrum of Transaction Banking activities. Reasonable familiarity with personnel networks within Middle East/North Africa Transaction Banking sector plus broader knowledge about banking/financial markets in MENA region. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills would be considered an advantage.
