Roles & Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Foster a positive and inspiring learning atmosphere, motivating students to achieve their musical aspirations.
- Stay current with vocal and musical techniques, pedagogical approaches, and industry trends through continuous professional development.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans, for effective tracking.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and examinations, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and confidence.
- Develop and deliver engaging vocal and musical lessons tailored to individual student needs and skill levels, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other music educators and school staff to create a cohesive and enriching musical program.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Vocal Performance, or a related field is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in music theory and practice.
- Possession of relevant teaching certifications (e.g., music education certification) is highly preferred, showcasing commitment to professional standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching vocal or musical instruments, providing practical experience in music instruction.
- Proven experience in a music school or educational institution is preferred, indicating familiarity with structured music programs.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication with students and colleagues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills are crucial for building rapport and inspiring students, highlighting key soft skills.
- Demonstrates exceptional musicality, a passion for teaching, patience, and a nurturing approach to students, emphasizing personal qualities.
- Ability to stand and demonstrate musical techniques for extended periods, highlighting physical abilities.
