Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and implement the aeronautical commercial strategy aligned with Oman Airports overall objectives.
Lead airline marketing and route development initiatives to attract new carriers and expand existing airline operations.
Negotiate aeronautical agreements, charges, and incentive schemes with airlines.
Identify opportunities to increase aircraft movements, passenger traffic, and cargo operations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, aviation authorities, and industry stakeholders.
Oversee slot coordination, traffic rights support, and airline performance management.
Collaborate with internal departments (operations, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless airline engagement.
Monitor global aviation trends, competitor airports, and regulatory changes.
Represent Oman Airports in international aviation forums, conferences, and route development events.
Lead, mentor, and develop the aeronautical commercial team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Growth in passenger traffic and aircraft movements.
Increase in aeronautical revenue.
Number of new airline partnerships and routes launched.
Load factor improvements and route sustainability.
Airline satisfaction and retention rates.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master s preferred).
12 years of experience in aviation, airline management, or airport commercial functions.
With minimum 8 years in senior leadership roles in aviation, airline management, or airport commercial functions.
Strong background in aeronautical revenue management and route development.
Proven leadership experience in a senior commercial or aviation role.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Strong knowledge of airline economics, route planning, and airport charges.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinking with strong financial and analytical capabilities.
Leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment.
