Job Purpose:

Is to provide excellent customer service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring an overall positive dining experience for customers. The role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting smooth caf operations



Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet customers promptly and courteously as they arrive

Escort customers to their tables and provide them with menus

Offer detailed information about the menu, including ingredients and specials, and answer any questions

Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring any special requests or dietary restrictions are noted

Relay customer orders to the kitchen or barista team clearly and efficiently

Ensure that orders are delivered in a timely manner and to the correct table

Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction with their meals and drinks, and address any issues

Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner, ensuring proper presentation

Assist with clearing empty plates, glasses, and utensils from tables when appropriate

Ensure that all items are stocked and ready for service, such as condiments, napkins, and drink refills

Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and in a positive manner, escalating issues to management when necessary

Build rapport with regular customers and provide personalized service when possible

Work closely with kitchen staff, baristas, and other team members to ensure smooth operations

Assist with setting up and clearing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in the caf

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure all customer needs are met efficiently during busy periods

Present the check to customers when requested, ensuring it is accurate

Process payments, including cash, credit, and mobile payments, and provide change when necessary

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the server station and tables

Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring food hygiene and cleanliness standards are met

Ensure the caf environment is safe for both customers and staff, addressing any hazards or safety concerns

Perform other duties as assigned
