Roles & Responsibilities

The scope of service provided ranges from the different Pediatric specialties and includes Medical
and Surgical cases with a total of 31 beds. Patients' ages range from birth to 14 years old. Stable patients with precocious development and/or of extreme low growth parameters will be received on an individual basis regardless of their age.

There are occasions when the child is older than the specified age within the scope of service and less than 25 kg but still under the care of Pediatrics. In these cases, the Admission Officer should contact the Charge Nurse on 1 North, who will discuss the case with the primary Physician to ensure they agree to accept these older children and to consider the process of transferring to the adult service.

Desired Candidate Profile

Four (4) years of nursing experience with Bachelor s Degree Experience as a preceptor for nurses; completion of preceptor course; teaching experience (in clinical or academic setting) is required.
