The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse logistics and inventory management. This position involves handling incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying stock and inventory levels, preparing products for shipping, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. A successful Warehouse Associate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. They must possess strong physical stamina, as the role often requires lifting and moving heavy materials. The Warehouse Associate should also be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet the goals of the warehouse and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and inspect incoming shipments for any discrepancies.
• Organize and store products in designated areas to ensure easy retrieval.
• Pick and prepare products for outgoing shipments as per orders.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Perform regular inventory counts and report any variances to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize workflows and processes.
• Document and track inventory using warehouse management software systems.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and other transportation vehicles.
• Communicate with other departments to resolve shipping and inventory issues.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials following established guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education is required for this position.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role is strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy and order precision.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with basic computer operations and warehouse management software.
