Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize storage space.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to enhance productivity and morale.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory levels and generate performance reports.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for warehouse processes and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and equipment to maintain operational integrity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to align inventory with business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for logistics and equipment services.
- Prepare and manage the budget for warehouse operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Proven track record of implementing efficient warehouse processes and systems.
- Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Experience with warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus, especially Spanish or Mandarin.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
