Warehouse Porter YOSH HOSPITALITY LLC OPC

Job Summary

The Porter will support warehouse and logistics operations by ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safe handling of goods and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload, load and move stock and supplies safely by hand or using pallet trucks, trolleys and other warehouse equipment as instructed.

• Sort, label and stage goods for storage, picking, and dispatch according to instructions and inventory procedures.

• Assist with basic stock counts and paperwork, including checking delivery notes, recording discrepancies, and reporting damaged items to management.

• Maintain cleanliness and order of warehouse areas, loading bays and storage racks; sweep, remove waste, and ensure waste and recycling are disposed of per site procedures.

• Operate manual handling equipment safely following training and site rules; report any equipment faults or safety hazards immediately.

• Support pickers and packers during busy periods and help prepare goods for courier collection or internal delivery rounds.

• Follow all health & safety, hygiene and security procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the line manager to support warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar manual role preferred but not essential; training will be provided.

• Basic understanding of safe manual handling practices and willingness to undertake training and follow procedures.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and to follow instructions accurately.

• Physical fitness and ability to stand, lift and carry for extended periods; able to work at heights on occasion when required.

• Good communication skills, punctuality and a reliable, team-oriented approach.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts, evenings and occasional weekend shifts to meet operational needs.
