Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and control water treatment processes to ensure water quality meets regulatory standards and public health requirements, adjusting chemical dosages and equipment operations as needed.
- Perform routine inspections of treatment plant equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical feed systems, to identify and address any malfunctions or maintenance needs proactively.
- Conduct water quality testing, including chlorine residual, pH, turbidity, and other parameters, using laboratory equipment and interpret the results to make operational adjustments.
- Operate and maintain a variety of treatment plant equipment, such as clarifiers, filters, and disinfection systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in environmental science, chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
- Holds a valid Water Treatment Plant Operator certification, issued by the relevant state or regulatory agency.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant, demonstrating practical knowledge of treatment processes.
- Demonstrates proficiency in water quality testing and analysis techniques, with experience using laboratory equipment and interpreting results.
