Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various metals while ensuring high-quality welds.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately create and assemble metal structures with precision.
- Conduct inspections of welded components to identify imperfections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Set up and maintain welding equipment, including adjusting parameters for optimal performance and efficiency.
- Fabricate metal components using cutting, grinding, and shaping techniques to meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions.
- Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time tracking and material usage for project management.
- Assist in training junior welders or apprentices in welding techniques and best practices to enhance team skills.
- Stay current with industry advancements and new welding technologies to continuously improve fabrication processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a fabrication shop or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in multiple welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding for various metals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve welding-related issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods while working.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in measurements and adherence to project specifications.
