Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Provide Metallurgical and Welding Support to Engineering disciplines to comply with contractual requirements and with the updated technological criteria.

  2. Qualification of welding procedure (PQR), preparation of welding procedure (WPS), Weld Plan as per code and project specifications

  3. Performing various Welding inspections and expediting activities of Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchangers, Skids, Piping’s, General Fabrication, Structures etc.

  4. Examining and witnessing the mechanical test required to qualify the materials.

  5. Surveillance inspection during the Site Construction, fabrication & welding of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and piping.

  6. Monitor Contractor’s and subcontractor’s Weld activities for compliance with quality requirement

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor of mechanical or metallurgical engineering with Masters’ Degree in welding, or

  2. Alternatively, Bachelor of mechanical or metallurgical engineering with Professional certification in welding engineering (IWE, CWE).

  3. ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT.

  4. A total experience of min. 12 years in welding related activities within the Oil & Gas industry

  5. Previous ADNOC project experience as Welding Engineer is preferred
