Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and qualify Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) and implement Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) tailored to project requirements
  • Administer welder qualification tests and oversee all aspects of welding operations.
  • Inspect welds for quality and ensure adherence to applicable industry standards, codes and standards requirements.
  • Inspect welds and ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve welding-related issues, offering corrective action plans as needed.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in welding technology.
  • Train and mentor junior welding engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / MTech Welding Engineering / IWE-IIW / AWS-CWEng or a relevant Qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in welding engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
