Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of welds, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and project specifications, identifying any defects.
- Review welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualifications (WPQ) to verify adherence to approved parameters and codes.
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) interpretation, including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) results, and evaluate weld quality.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, detailing findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions required, maintaining accurate records.
- Monitor welding activities on-site, ensuring welders follow approved procedures and maintain proper techniques, providing real-time feedback.
- Witness and verify material certifications, ensuring the correct materials are used and traceability is maintained throughout the welding process.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in welding principles.
- Holds a valid ADNOC-approved Welding Inspector certification, showcasing the required expertise and authorization.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, providing a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder performance qualifications (WPQ).
- Expertise in various NDT methods (RT, UT, MPT, DPT), with the ability to interpret results and evaluate weld quality.
- Strong understanding of international welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS), ensuring compliance and best practices.
