Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of welding procedures, ensuring adherence to Aramco standards and approved WPS/PQR.
  • Verify welder qualifications and certifications, ensuring compliance with Aramco's stringent requirements and relevant codes.
  • Perform visual inspections of welds, assessing for defects like porosity, cracks, and lack of fusion, using appropriate NDT methods.
  • Review and interpret welding drawings, specifications, and codes (e.g., ASME, AWS), ensuring accurate weld execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Holds a valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from AWS or equivalent, demonstrating professional competence.
  • Requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in welding inspection within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAW, and their applications.
