Lead and supervise all welding activities (with focus on Inconel/nickel-alloy piping and equipment) to meet project quality, schedule, and HSE requirements on industrial/oil & gas sites. Candidates with prior Saudi Aramco project experience/approval are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, allocate, and supervise daily welding work for welders/fitters across shop and site.
Review IFC drawings, isometrics, WPS/PQR, ITPs; ensure welders follow approved procedures.
Oversee Inconel (e.g., 625/825) welding using GTAW/SMAW/GMAW/FCAW; control heat input, interpass temperature, purging, filler selection and back-purge gas quality.
Verify joint fit-up, root runs, passes, and final weld profiles; ensure traceability of materials/fillers and welder IDs.
Coordinate NDT (RT, UT, PT, MT), PMI/hardness testing, hydro/pneumatic tests; close NCRs and implement corrective actions.
Prepare/maintain weld maps, WQT/WPQ records, welding logs, repair logs, and turnover dossiers.
Interface with QA/QC, Client/PMC, and Third-Party Inspectors for hold/witness points and weld acceptance.
Support PWHT activities when required; verify heat charts and compliance.
Enforce HSE standards (PTW, hot work, confined space, LOTO); conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments (JSA).
Coach and qualify welders; conduct spot checks and performance assessments.
Drive schedule adherence; report progress, constraints, and look-ahead plans to construction management.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma/Bachelor in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Manufacturing or equivalent trade with strong welding background.
7 10+ years welding supervision in oil & gas/petrochemical projects; 3+ years hands-on with Inconel/nickel-alloys (piping, spools, headers, equipment).
Solid knowledge of ASME IX, ASME B31.3/B31.1, and fabrication/erection best practices.
Proven experience managing NDT and welding QA documentation (WPS/PQR/WPQ, ITP, weld map, MDR/turnover).

Preferred (Aramco) Credentials:
Prior Saudi Aramco project experience (Jubail/Jafurah/Berri/Jazan or similar).
Aramco approval/CBT for Welding Supervisor/QC Welding (if available).
Familiarity with SAES/SAEP and SATIP requirements, company standards, and inspection levels.

Certifications (plus points):
CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CWI.
NDT Level II (RT/UT/PT/MT) understanding (not necessarily as a technician).
ISO 9606/ASME welder qualification knowledge (for coaching/qualification).

Technical Skills:
Processes: GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), GMAW/FCAW, orbital TIG (advantage).
Materials: Inconel 625/825, SS (304/316), Duplex/Super Duplex, CS/Low-Alloy (P-No. materials).
Welding variables: heat input control, interpass temp, purge quality, filler classification, dilution control, buttering techniques.
Reading drawings: P&IDs, isometrics, weld symbols; dimensional checks.
Software: MS Office; basic familiarity with welding data logs/NDT tracking systems.

Behavioral Competencies:
Strong leadership, coaching, and crew coordination.
Quality-driven mindset with problem-solving and clear client communication.
Safety-first attitude; calm under pressure and schedule constraints.
