Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project specifications and welding requirements.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and aligning components for optimal weld quality and structural integrity.
- Operate and maintain a variety of welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, ensuring proper settings and functionality.
- Perform welding on diverse materials such as steel, aluminum, and alloys, adhering to strict quality standards and safety protocols.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a vocational certificate in welding technology preferred.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent training in welding.
- AWS (American Welding Society) certifications, such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Educator (CWE) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
