Roles & Responsibilities
Yas School is currently seeking to recruit a high-performing Wellbeing Counsellor to join our team for January 2026 or sooner if possible.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a flagship government school in Abu Dhabi with the mission of blending Emirati cultural values with modern global standards to create an exceptional educational experience for our students. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about upholding our school s values while embracing the rich culture and heritage of the UAE. At Yas School, we deliver the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum and have a special focus on inclusive education, enrichment and preparing future ready learners. Founded in 2015, we are the largest single-campus K-12 government school educating 1750+ girls and boys on our extensive campus.
As Wellbeing Counsellor, you will be accountable for providing student wellbeing services ranging from preventative to responsive supports, including guidance to parents and teachers relating to child and adolescent wellbeing.
The successful candidate should:
Bachelor s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
Proficiency in English (demonstrated by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or equivalent).
Proficiency in Arabic is a requirement.
3 years experience in a counselling role, preferably in an educational setting.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday, 30th December 2025 but applications will be reviewed as they are received and Yas School reserves the right to make an earlier appointment.
