Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Wellsite Engineer, you will act as the key technical authority on site, responsible for planning, monitoring, and optimising coiled tubing drilling operations. You will work closely with field crews and subsurface teams to ensure safe, efficient, and technically accurate execution of underbalanced drilling programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the on-site engineering lead for coiled tubing drilling (CTD) operations
Execute and oversee drilling activities in line with operational procedures
Perform calculations and simulations for underbalanced CTD operations
Analyse and interpret well flow data and operational parameters
Monitor flow rates, production rates, injection rates, and gas production
Act as the interface between field crews and wider project stakeholders
Collaborate with subsurface teams to optimise drilling performance
Ensure compliance with industry safety and operational standards
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Wellsite Engineer or equivalent drilling engineering role
Strong background in coiled tubing drilling (CTD) operations
Experience with underbalanced drilling (UBD) environments
Ability to work as a standalone engineer onsite
Experience using well flow modelling or similar engineering software
Strong analytical and real-time decision-making capability
Desirable Experience

Recent experience within CTD projects

Background in conventional drilling with UBD exposure

Experience supporting gas-related or complex well environments

Previous involvement in long-term onshore drilling campaigns
