Roles & Responsibilities

A WMS Consultant (Warehouse Management System Consultant) is a professional who specializes in implementing, configuring, and optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) used in logistics and supply chain operations.

Core Role

A WMS Consultant helps companies manage and improve warehouse operations such as:

  • Inventory tracking and accuracy

  • Order fulfillment processes

  • Receiving and shipping workflows

  • Warehouse layout and efficiency

  • Integration with ERP and logistics systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze warehouse business processes and requirements

  • Configure and customize WMS software (e.g., SAP EWM, Manhattan, Oracle WMS)

  • Lead WMS implementation or upgrade projects

  • Integrate WMS with ERP, TMS, and other supply chain systems

  • Perform system testing (UAT, integration testing)

  • Train warehouse staff and end users

  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support

  • Optimize workflows to improve productivity and reduce costs

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and supply chain operations

  • Experience with WMS platforms
