Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using best practices.
  • Create and modify custom themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement responsive layouts.
  • Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO rankings.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and manage website security (backups, firewalls, malware protection).
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other external services.
  • Manage content updates and website migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, and IT).
  • Stay up to date with the latest WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript trends and updates.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in WordPress CMS (themes, plugins, Gutenberg, custom post types).
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with MySQL and database management.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX.
  • Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and website performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
  • Experience with WooCommerce (for e-commerce sites) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with WordPress security best practices and web hosting environments (cPanel, Cloudflare, etc.).
