Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description
Inspect structural works on-site including concrete, steel, formwork, rebar, precast elements, and associated civil infrastructure.
Monitor contractors' activities to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, method statements, materials, and relevant specifications.
Report any non-conformances, delays, or deviations from the contract documents to the Site Engineer or Resident Engineer.
Witness material testing and ensure the correct implementation of quality control procedures.
Maintain comprehensive site records including daily inspections, progress updates, and photographic evidence.
Review and verify contractor's daily reports and check the adequacy of manpower and equipment on-site.
Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to resolve interface issues and ensure proper integration of works.
Participate in technical and progress meetings as required.
Assist in reviewing method statements and ITPs from a site implementation perspective.
Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to on-site.
Responsibilities
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in structural inspection, preferably on infrastructure or roads & highways projects.
Prior experience working on Ashghal projects or with a GEC in Qatar is highly preferred.
Good understanding of structural construction methods and quality control.
Familiar with international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, BS, ASTM).
Strong communication skills and ability to write clear technical reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software (preferred).
