Workshop Supervisor

Summary:

Coordinates and directs the service department technicians for maximum efficiency and productivity while overseeing all service repair work to ensure the highest quality of customer service.

Key Activities:

Monitors the hourly sold FRU/HRS within the workshop and the workshop productivity and efficiency of the individual employees involved.

Establishes what the workshop capacity is daily and passes this information on to the Services Manager.

Checks that time recording is correct on orders and on daily or weekly work sheets, provides support for the technicians via technical resources when problems arise, is responsible for the workshop and monitors it.

Ensures that the personnel requirements necessary for perfect operation of the standby and emergency services are guaranteed.

Report to the Service Manager on any disciplinary/staff related issues.

Advice the Service Manager in evaluations of the service personnel in relation to performance and conduct and makes suggestions to the Training Manager regarding further professional training for the service staff.

Attend regular department meetings and take a pro-active approach.

Recommend tools and equipment and makes proposals to the Vice President, Aftersales for the annual investment plan.

Keep up to date with technical information and will attend training courses in-house or overseas as needed.
