We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Workshop Supervisor / Floor Supervisor with a proven background in heavy vehicles and plant maintenance within the waste management industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, managing technical teams, and ensuring maximum equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency in line with company and client standards.

• Supervise and manage day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring timely maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and plant machinery.

• Allocate jobs effectively to technicians and ensure optimal workflow management and resource utilization.

• Diagnose complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance on engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, and major aggregates.

• Ensure maintenance of equipment such as RCVs, skip loaders, compactors, wheel loaders, forklifts, and heavy trucks.

• Monitor and enforce preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and downtime.

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of mechanics and technicians to achieve performance and productivity targets.

• Maintain strict compliance with HSE standards, DOT requirements, and company safety procedures.

• Act as the technical focal point for troubleshooting and resolving critical equipment issues.

• Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, job cards, and documentation as per company standards.

• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to reduce rework and enhance workshop efficiency.

• Set and monitor KPIs for workshop staff, ensuring accountability and continuous performance improvement.

• Handle team conflicts professionally and ensure a disciplined and productive work environment.
