As a Wound Care Staff Nurse, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care to patients requiring specialized wound management. This position involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound care treatment plans. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive and regular assessments of patients wound healing progress.
  • Implement evidence-based wound care protocols to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and procedures.
  • Monitor patients responses to treatment and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Educate and advise patients and their families about wound care management.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all wound care assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Utilize advanced wound care techniques, including debridement and infection control.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in wound care procedures and technologies.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff and student nurses as needed.
  • Participate in case reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare compliance standards.

Requirements
  • Valid registered nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor s degree in nursing or an equivalent level of education and training.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in wound care or a related field.
  • Certification in wound care preferred, such as WOCN or CWON certification.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills in wound healing and infection control.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and healthcare documentation systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Commitment to continuing education and staying current with wound care innovations.
  • Empathetic approach to patient care with sensitivity to individual needs.
