Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
STRATEGY AND PLANNING
- Oversees the operationalization of the project into detailed implementation plans.
- Organizes all project design, planning, and launch meetings.
PARTNER COORDINATION
- Coordinates with the Country Director to ensure compliance with the consortium's governance rules and procedures as defined in the partnership agreements between the lead partner and the other partners.
- Manages and facilitates the organization of Steering Committee meetings.
EXTERNAL COORDINATION AND DEVELOPMENT
- Ensures basic representation of the project to relevant coordination platforms, when required.
- Maintains necessary communication with stakeholders relevant to the implementation of this specific project.
PROJECT CYCLE MONITORING
- Monitors the relevance, quality, and consistency of project implementation.
- Proposes to the members of the Steering Committee and then facilitates the programmatic and operational adjustments necessary for the project with their teams.
- Organizes program monitoring meetings with the various partners.
CONTRACT CYCLE MANAGEMENT
- Maintains and/or develops a transparent, constructive, and trusting relationship with the project's institutional donor.
- Oversees compliance with contractual validation obligations to the institutional donor.
COMPLIANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
- Verifies compliance with the consortium's frameworks and procedures by all partners.
PARTNERSHIPS
- Contribute, in line with their role and responsibilities, to the verification of SI s implementation partners
- Contribute to the implementation of a plan to support and strengthen SI partners
INTERNAL CONTROL
- Is responsible for the compliance of the documents they produce
FILING & ARCHIVING
- Is responsible for filing and archiving the documents they produce in accordance with internal procedures
FIGHT AGAINST ABUSE
- Creates and actively collaborates in establishing a work environment that prevents inappropriate behavior.
- Participate in communicating the existence of SI's ethical framework.
Desired Candidate Profile
University degree in related sector (international relations, development studies, media-communication or related).
At least 4 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector.
Experience in supporting emergency response in tense security context and remote setting;
Experience in the Middle East is highly appreciated.
Excellent analytical and writing skills;
Excellent communication;
Excellent abilities to coordinate with people of different sectors/departments;
Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage competing urgent requests and priorities;
Flexible and able to handle pressure well;
Full English proficiency;
Proficiency in French will be considered as an advantage
+ Experience and / or knowledge of the Yemeni crisis is a major asset.
+ Experience with SI is a major asset.
English language is mandatory
Arabic language is an asset.

SI opened its mission in Yemen in 2017, establishing its coordination in Aden. Since then, SI expanded the geographical scope of its intervention, and established offices in Taiz City and Al Mokha in Taizz Governorate and operational presence Governorate. The mission is composed of approx. 8 expatriates and about 60 national staffs. Objectives for the mission for 2026 is to build on its Emergency Response capacity to expand in hard to reach areas and develop qualitative interventions responding to emergency and protracted needs, while enhancing resilience. The mission is searching for an experienced Consortium manager to become a part of the coordination team under the supervision of the Country Director, and working closely with the program and support departments at coordination level, as well as the base teams.
