Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Outlining the architecture as well as building visual analytics solutions via dashboards and reports.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyse business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop reports, scorecards, data exploration and visual analytics using existing and emerging tools and technologies.
  • Provide insights, perform analysis and manage the design, build and delivery of robust dashboards and reports to the business.
  • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Work with Digital Core Team and business units to determine Bi project missions, goals, tasks, timelines and resource requirement.
  • Ensure the reports that are developed are tested and all defects and issues are tracked and managed to resolution.
  • Conceptualize complex Institutional problems, discovering business insights through visualization techniques, turning data into information, and information into insight and insight into business decisions.
  • Execute advanced data modelling capability to meet the reporting requirements by acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
  • Collate the metrics, calculations and data for reports and dashboards and work with teams to standardize the reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with the business teams and interpret their BI needs in technical terms, and define the same to ensure adherence to all BI standards and best practices, document the business requirements, anticipated benefits, success criteria for analytics initiatives.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain PowerBI cubes, Data base queries.
  • Optimize data models and queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Research, review and analyse existing data and reporting outputs and systems and develop strategies for enhancing or leveraging these processes and systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data visualization.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Other duties as needed based on business priorities/conditions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applications, or a related field.
  • Certification in Business Analysis is a plus.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., DP-100, PL-300) or equivalent certifications from other cloud platforms are highly desirable.

Experience Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in Analytics and Business Intelligence, primarily within the Microsoft BI ecosystem.
  • Proven track record in designing business-critical dashboards using Power BI with sources like SQL Server and Lakehouse.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365.
  • Experience in data warehousing, data lake architecture, and end-to-end BI lifecycle.
  • Proficient in Power BI (both cloud and on-premise versions), including DAX and performance tuning.
  • Solid background in dimensional data modeling (star and snowflake schema).
  • Experience working with SSAS, SSRS, and maintaining OLAP/Tabular cubes.
  • Experience integrating various data sources such as Excel, CSV, Azure SQL, Azure Data Warehouse, and Oracle.
  • Familiarity with Azure services like Databricks, DevOps, Data Lake, and Storage is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong expertise in SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Experience with database design, performance tuning, and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI report/dashboard design and deployment.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python or R is preferred.
  • Knowledge of RPA tools and predictive analytics is a plus.
