Founded in 1977, ZADCO or Zakum Development Company is one of the leading names in the Oil & Energy industry in the UAE. The company was established with the aim to develop the Upper Zakum field on behalf of ADNOC and for the benefit of the shareholders in the joint venture, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), ExxonMobil, and Japan Oil Development Company Ltd. (JODCO). In addition to Upper Zakum, the company also operates Umm Al Dalkh, and Satah fields. The company has adopted the latest technologies for developing and operating oil fields with health, safety and environment being its utmost priority.

The company's mission is to achieve sustainable production at the right pace to meet the future crude oil requirements of the Supreme Petroleum Council and its shareholders. ZADCO is committed to make continuous improvement in HSE, People Development, and adopting best practices in field development and operations.
