About Abu Dhabi Investment Council

Abu Dhabi Investment Council is an investment arm of the Government of Abu Dhabi, now operating as part of Mubadala Investment Company — the Abu Dhabi-based sovereign investment and development company. Originally established in April 2007, the Council was responsible for investing part of the Government's surplus financial resources through a globally diversified investment strategy targeting positive capital returns across a broad portfolio of highly diversified asset classes. In 2019, the Abu Dhabi Investment Council was integrated into Mubadala Investment Company, combining its expertise and portfolio with one of the world's most sophisticated and impactful sovereign investors. Today, as part of the Mubadala ecosystem, the Council continues to contribute to Abu Dhabi's ambitious economic diversification agenda — supporting the emirate's long-term vision for a prosperous, knowledge-based, and sustainable future through disciplined, active, and responsible investment management.
