Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting for assigned legal entities, including preparation of financial statements and cash flows in line with IFRS and tax compliance requirements.
- Prepare and present financial reports for business units and divisions (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) with comparative analysis and key insights as per management guidelines.
- Prepare and submit monthly board packs/financial reports to the Sales Head, as required.
- Verify and validate all financial transactions—sales, purchases, expenses, payroll, banking, cash, collections, deposits, receivables, and stock variances—ensuring proper accounting codes and approvals.
- Conduct business analysis and report financial results with commentaries on summaries, variances, risks, and recommendations.
- Monitor shop-wise performance, evaluating feasibility against approved budgets and targets.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure timely monthly confirmations.
- Provide support to Odoo POS users and ensure MIS reports are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with inventory control, debtors ageing, shop profitability, and budget vs. actual reports.
- Ensure credit card terminals at retail stores are functioning efficiently and user-friendly.
- Ensure periodic receipt and review of bank statements and confirmations.
- Prepare the Annual Sales Budget in coordination with the Sales Head.
- Review and compare Sales Budget vs Actuals, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Submit monthly UAE sales cost allocation and provide supporting documents when required.
- Provide transfer pricing (TP) or other accounting-related information for UAE sales when requested by the Sales Head.
- Attend sales meetings as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Highly motivated, self-driven individual with strong ownership and accountability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA/CMA qualification preferred).
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably within retail, FMCG, perfume/cosmetics, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, Corporate Tax, and other UAE regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP, Odoo, or major ERPs is highly preferred.
- Experience in handling POS systems, intercompany reconciliations, and multi-entity accounting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to generate insights, highlight risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-brand, multi-outlet retail environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the perfume/cosmetics industry is an advantage.
- Immediate joiners highly preferred.
