Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

  • Leverage Consumer, Retailers and market-insights to address business problems/opportunities to support the development of a suitable overall strategy and Omnichannel plan in close collaboration with Commercial Director
  • Plan and propose Omnichannel plan and Consumer Experience Journey per channel and lead on implementation to achieve yearly / Quarterly corporate KPIs
  • Ensure efficient implementation of approved commercial plans through clearly communicating expectations to commercial field teams
  • Lead, guide and motivate the Regional Sales Force to ensure the sustainable delivery of Regional Sales targets, KPIs and Business Building Activities

TRADE

  • Develop and establish Trade Area strategies to safeguard target achievement of company s portfolio though key commercial drivers i.e. GT / KA contracted universe, Retail visibility, Trade full digitalization and Engagement
  • Propose and assess Trade Engagement programs to ensure best-in-class execution
  • Ensure retail contract and payment process is executed as per company s guidelines

OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

  • Contribute towards attaining operational effectiveness & efficiency of Distributors in the Region and assist in managing the relationships with key stakeholders in the respective territory from our distributor to point of sales representatives
  • Timely review and executive business and people development plans
  • Ensure that all the trade programs for priority accounts & wholesale are effectively managed through the Field Force
  • Identify and negotiate with the high potential accounts
  • Develop and constantly update an extensive and in-depth understanding of industry / Consumers dynamics within the area and implement plans to ensure achievement of maximum short term and long-term sales potential
  • Set the base for POS level activities by ensuring product availability according to the overall commercial strategy and company targets

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Set and communicate the individual objectives members; monitor and supervise field force organization and front liners to ensure that commercial objectives are achieved
  • Conduct regular performance assessment with the entire team and take steps to fill gaps in coordination with relevant departments
  • Provide constant on the job training and guidance to the entire team and specific individuals to ensure business and personal development

BUDGET ALLOCATION

  • Plan Area budget with Commercial Operations Manager for the respective Area
  • Track compliance rates vs. approved budget
  • Ensure most effective resource allocation in terms of a sustainable ROI
  • Propose and justify all regional budget for trade and other business building activities and ensure effective execution
  • Ensure timely preparation & submission of all documents such as Distributors claims, Sales tracking sheets

EHSS, PRINCIPLES & PRACTICES

  • Ensure that all activities build and maintain a solid image of the company as responsible and preferred business partner
  • Ensure that all conducted activities correspond to national legislation as well as the company s Principles & Practices
  • Follow all policies and procedures and maintain all company equipment and property in good conditions
  • Ensure that all members of the team follow all safety procedures concerning people and equipment
  • Train & guide subordinates on relevant policies, procedures and guidelines and report all noticed accidents and incidents

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • College/University degree
  • University degree preferable

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales / Commercial roles
  • Experience in FMCG
  • Sales experience in different channels (KA, GT, HoReCa) preferable
  • Experience in people management is an advantage

Functional Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent command in English (both written and spoken); Arabic is considered as an advantage
  • Negotiation skills
