Roles & Responsibilities

Assistant Animal Care Specialist Worldwide Zoo Consultants
Duties
Animal Care Assistance:
Assist in the daily care and husbandry of a variety of animal species within our facility.
Ensure that all animals receive proper nutrition, enrichment, and medical attention as required.
Facility Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining clean and safe animal enclosures, exhibits, and related facilities.
Work closely with the maintenance and construction teams for enclosure improvements and expansions.
Health and Well-being:
Monitor and report on animal health, behavior, and environmental conditions.
Assist in the implementation of enrichment activities to promote mental and physical stimulation for the animals.
Team Support:
Work closely with the animal care team to provide support and assistance in various tasks.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Visitor Engagement:
Engage with clients or visitors, providing information about the animals and their conservation needs.
Answer questions and contribute to the educational experience of our guests.
Experience, Skills & Requirements
Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a zoo, sanctuary, or similar environment.
A genuine passion for animal care and wildlife conservation.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
