Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Sales professionals who pride themselves on delivering extraordinary levels of customer service and providing creative solutions to our guests.

As Assistant Director of Groups, Catering & Events, you will oversee the day-to-day sales efforts with specific responsibilities for directing sales, training, and maintaining systems to achieve departmental and hotel targets. Your role will include the following key responsibilities-

Key Responsibilities-

  • Monitor event production and adjust activities to achieve planned goals.
  • Plan and establish goals for the Events Office to deliver qualified leads.
  • Develop active communication and close rapport with Rotana Sales Offices and other sources of sales/events information and support.
  • Maintain timely and responsive communication with all accounts and prospects.
  • Handle all incoming group and banquet leads jointly with the concerned sales division, including all communication, negotiation, and contracting.
  • Assess group business to maximize contribution from available public space, generating room revenues while achieving banqueting budgets.
  • Yield all leads prior to sending out offer letters, especially in terms of venue assignment and rates offered.
  • Ensure that the Sales and Catering PMS is well managed, maintained, and updated according to company policy and standards.
  • Ensure all groups and events are handled in accordance with company policies and standards.
  • Determine discount rates and percentages in collaboration with Revenue and Reservations Managers, and communicate negotiation parameters with all sales divisions.
  • Strategically manage group business to optimize revenue across rooms, catering, and event spaces, ensuring alignment with overall hotel performance goals.

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should be holding a bachelor degree in sales and be computer literate with effective and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

Knowledge & Competencies

The ideal candidate will be dynamic and a finisher with an eye for detail and the ability to drive through solutions. You are having a strong commercial orientation with broad business understanding and skills, equipped with a sharp intellect in order to focus on key issues with an attention to details and accuracy of information while possessing following additional competencies-
