Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

To implement commercial and sales strategies, policies, and processes aimed at exceeding sales targets within the UAE, GCC, and international markets. The role involves managing both front and back-office teams, generating and nurturing leads, logging activities in Salesforce, facilitating offers, and securing contracts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Policies, Processes & Procedures

Contribute to the development and implementation of commercial, sales, and ordering policies and procedures.

Ensure effective collaboration across teams to identify, close, and execute projects across multiple regions.

Maintain due diligence to ensure accurate and complete customer, project, regional, and pricing information is recorded in client systems.

2. Budgets

Support the implementation of regional budgets and action plans.

Assist in determining inventory levels and product mix required to support forecasted sales for target accounts and regions.

3. Risk Management

Support client risk management framework to identify and mitigate sales-related risks.

Route high-value opportunities and tender approvals through the DTR process.

Ensure smaller approvals are raised through the Salesforce workflow.

4. Continuous Improvement

Participate in innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental productivity and efficiency.

5. Reporting

Provide accurate and timely reports on sales performance for assigned customer accounts, segments, and regions.

Functional Responsibilities

A. Business Development

Identify and manage business opportunities from strategic (Platinum) customers.

Develop and maintain strong multi-level relationships with customers.

Lead negotiations and support the team in deal closures.

Manage and monitor sales team performance to identify improvement areas.

Address issues related to pricing, commercial terms, delivery, and customer complaints.

Oversee sales pipeline, order intake, invoicing, and receivables.

Ensure compliance with RAM, company policies, and quality system procedures (QSP).

Review open orders and metal bookings; ensure timely reminders are sent to customers for open materials.

B. Pricing

Review and ensure team adherence to pricing guidelines as per the Responsibility & Authority Manual (RAM).

Gather customer feedback on pricing and contribute to pricing strategy development for the segment/region.

C. Execution of Sales Contracts

Review complex contracts/orders to ensure compliance with company policies.

Coordinate with Order Execution and Credit Control teams for timely payments and debt recovery as per contract terms.

D. Business Relationships

Strengthen client customer relationships through professional and proactive engagement.

E. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Ensure effective daily use of Salesforce CRM tools to manage accounts and build sustainable customer relationships.

Promote the use of digital tools for regional sales management and activity tracking.

Review and validate accurate data entry by the team across CRM, ERP, and other core systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, or equivalent).

Skills:

  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills.
  • Persuasive communication and client relationship management.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Market analysis and business development acumen.
  • High attention to detail, compliance focus, and proficiency in Salesforce & SAP.
