Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for civil maintenance and small construction projects.

  • Review drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare BOQs and cost proposals.

  • Monitor project costs, variations, and budget control throughout project execution.

  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative statements.

  • Prepare interim payment applications, invoices, and final accounts.

  • Conduct site visits to verify quantities, progress, and work completion.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding project costs and variations.

  • Manage procurement quantities for materials related to civil works, plumbing, and building maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.

  • Assist in tender preparation and project documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying for civil works, building maintenance, and construction projects.

  • Experience in maintenance contracts, small projects, and renovation works is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost control.

  • Familiarity with plumbing and building services quantities is preferred.

  • Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Site experience will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in GCC projects (preferred).

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
