About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Commercial Strategy department in Dubai, the Associate Director of Sales - MICE is responsible for driving revenue and developing the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and creating tailored solutions for high-impact events. Associate Director of Sales - MICE reports to the Director of Sales.
As an Associate Director of Sales - MICE, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Identify and pursue new MICE business opportunities across local and international markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, DMCs, and event planners.
- Prepare tailored proposals and conduct client meetings, site inspections, and negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth planning and execution of group events.
- Monitor account performance and contribute to achieving the hotel's MICE revenue targets.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events to strengthen brand presence.
- Bachelor s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in luxury hospitality, with at least 2 years focused on the MICE segment; luxury hotel pre-opening experience is advantageous.
- Proven track record in securing and managing high-value MICE accounts and events.
- Strong knowledge of MICE markets in the Middle Eastern region.
- Proficiency in sales systems such as Opera, Delphi, Salesforce, or similar CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; fluency in English required.
