Roles & Responsibilities

Redfish International is partnering with a leading consultancy to appoint an Associate Quantity Surveyor for a high-profile portfolio of building projects in Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for an experienced QS professional looking to take the next step in a leadership position, with exposure to major pre- and post-contract works.


Role Overview

The Associate Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in delivering cost management and commercial services across multiple building schemes. The role requires strong technical knowledge, client-facing ability, and proven expertise in cost planning, tender management, contract administration, and final account settlements.

You will also be expected to provide mentorship to junior team members and ensure the highest standards of cost consultancy are upheld across all projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage pre- and post-contract cost management activities on building projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities.
  • Conduct tender analysis, prepare reports, and support contract negotiations.
  • Provide expert advice on value engineering and cost control measures.
  • Administer contracts, manage variations, and oversee final account preparation.
  • Work directly with clients and stakeholders, presenting findings and justifying recommendations.
  • Support and mentor junior QS team members.
  • Utilise CostX software for measurement, estimating, and reporting.

Education & Experience
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
  • 10 12 years of professional experience, preferably with strong building project exposure.
  • Proven track record in both pre- and post-contract services.
  • Proficiency in CostX software (essential).
  • MRICS or Associate RICS accreditation (preferred).
  • Previous Middle East experience advantageous; open to candidates willing to relocate.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
