Role Summary


We are looking for a Backend Developer who will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable APIs and services that power our React and Next.js applications. You will work closely with frontend developers, and project managers to deliver reliable features, handle deployments, and support production systems.


Key Responsibilities


· Design and implement RESTful / GraphQL APIs and backend services.

· Build and maintain server-side applications using Node.js / Express (or Nest.js, etc.).

· Design, optimize, and query databases (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

· Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, session management, etc.).

· Ensure application security (input validation, access control, OWASP best practices).

· Integrate with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and internal systems.

· Set up and maintain environments & deployments (on-prem and/or cloud: AWS/Azure/DigitalOcean).

· Work with frontend teams to support React / Next.js features and troubleshoot integration issues.

· Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for backend services.

· Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.

· Provide ongoing support & maintenance, including bug fixing and performance tuning.

Desired Candidate Profile

· 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer (or similar role).

· Strong experience with Node.js and Express (or similar frameworks).

· Solid understanding of HTTP, APIs, and microservices architecture.

· Hands-on experience with at least one relational or NoSQL database (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).

· Experience with Git and standard branching workflows.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

· Strong focus on security, performance, and scalability.

· Ability to write clean, tested, and maintainable code (unit/integration tests).

· Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
