Role Summary
The Baker at voco Dubai The Palm will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality bakery products including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in line with the property s culinary standards. This role requires technical skill, creativity, and strict adherence to hygiene and food safety regulations while working collaboratively within the kitchen team.

What You ll Do

* Prepare a range of bakery products including bread, rolls, pastries, muffins, and cakes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
* Follow production schedules to ensure timely delivery of baked goods to all service areas
* Maintain portion control and quality standards in all bakery items
* Store ingredients and baked products according to proper food safety and hygiene procedures
* Monitor stock levels, assist in food ordering, and control wastage
* Comply with HACCP guidelines and ensure cleanliness of workstations and equipment
* Work closely with the Sous Chef/Chef de Partie to maintain consistency and innovation in bakery offerings
* Train and support junior staff in bakery techniques and operational standards
* Attend required training sessions related to HACCP, food safety, and on-the-job skills

Ideal Profile

* Minimum 2 years of experience in a bakery kitchen, with at least 1 year in a similar position
* Strong knowledge of bakery and pastry production methods
* Proven understanding and application of HACCP procedures
* Good operational, practical, and administrative skills
* Team-oriented with flexibility to handle diverse kitchen tasks
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
