    Sourdough is a premium artisan bakery dedicated to crafting authentic handcrafted breads and pastries using traditional baking techniques, natural fermentation, and high-quality ingredients. We are passionate about delivering exceptional bakery experiences that combine craftsmanship, creativity, and consistency.

    We are seeking a talented and passionate Artisan Baker specializing in sourdough breads to join our growing bakery team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in long fermentation processes, dough development, and artisan bread production with a deep appreciation for traditional baking methods.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and bake a variety of artisan sourdough breads using traditional fermentation and shaping techniques

    • Manage sourdough starters and ensure consistency in fermentation quality and flavor profiles

    • Monitor dough mixing, proofing, scoring, and baking processes to maintain premium product standards

    • Develop and maintain high standards for texture, crust, appearance, and taste

    • Follow production schedules and ensure timely preparation for daily bakery operations

    • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards across all baking stations

    • Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, and assist with inventory management

    • Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently

    • Collaborate with the bakery and kitchen team to support product innovation and seasonal menu development

    • Ensure consistency in product presentation and customer satisfaction

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an Artisan Baker specializing in sourdough and handcrafted breads

  • Strong understanding of natural fermentation, hydration ratios, and dough handling techniques

  • Knowledge of artisan baking methods, proofing, scoring, and oven management

  • Passion for traditional baking craftsmanship and premium-quality products

  • Ability to work in early morning shifts and fast-paced bakery environments

  • Strong attention to detail, consistency, and cleanliness

  • Good teamwork and communication skills

  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in premium artisan bakeries or specialty bread production

  • Knowledge of European-style breads and long-fermentation techniques

  • Creativity in recipe development and seasonal bread offerings

  • Culinary or bakery certification is an advantage
