Bakery Chef SOFITEL

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Bakery Chef to lead our production of high-quality baked goods and pastries. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both traditional and modern techniques, and a passion for creating exceptional products that meet brand standards and customer expectations.

Innovate and test new recipes with a focus on creativity, presentation, and taste
Ensure consistency in product quality and adherence to brand standards
Supervise daily operations of the bakery and pastry section
Maintain cleanliness and uphold food safety and hygiene protocols
Monitor ingredient levels, manage ordering and inventory
Lead and train junior staff to follow recipes and techniques correctly
Collaborate with the management team on menu development and seasonal offerings

• Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role, with a strong focus on Pastry and Bakery.
• Experience in bulk cooking is essential.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of pastry and bakery cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional specialties.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
• Fluency in English.
