Roles & Responsibilities
The Bartender is responsible for crafting exceptional beverage experiences that embody the elegance, sophistication, and personalized service synonymous with both brands. As a passionate storyteller and skilled mixologist, the role delivers warm and engaging guest interactions while preparing premium cocktails, beverages, and bespoke recommendations with precision and creativity. The Bartender plays an integral role in creating memorable moments within a refined luxury environment, maintaining the highest standards of service, presentation, and product knowledge. Working collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team, the role ensures seamless operations and an elevated guest journey from welcome to farewell.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver gracious, personalized, and engaging service in line with Raffles and Fairmont luxury hospitality standards
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, wines, spirits, and other beverages with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of beverage menus, mixology techniques, ingredients, and pairing recommendations
- Engage guests confidently, anticipating preferences and creating memorable bar experiences
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar area and service stations at all times
- Ensure accurate order taking, billing, cash handling, and POS transactions
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control, requisitions, and beverage storage procedures
- Adhere to hotel policies, hygiene standards, and responsible alcohol service practices
- Collaborate closely with restaurant, culinary, and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery situations professionally and with discretion
Desired Candidate Profile
What will you bring to this role?
- Previous bartending experience, preferably within a luxury hotel, upscale lounge, or fine dining environment
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and mixology techniques
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a warm and engaging personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect confidently with guests
- Professional presentation and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory procedures preferred
- Strong understanding of hygiene, safety, and responsible beverage service standards
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are considered an asset
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a culture of luxury hospitality excellence
