Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF DUTY:

To support and be directly involved in the business by overseeing multiple concept beverage program which includes sourcing products, plan and organize how beverage systems will be set up (such as storage and display options), direct and supervise employees working with beverages, and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the system (drink selections, pricing, and customer response). Responsible for hiring and training new beverage staff members and overseeing the ordering and inventory control of beverages.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATION:
Create Beverage Programs to ensure Up to date trends across all categories
Designing attractive and creative menus and constantly improve offer
Manage the floor in front & back of house for all beverage aspects
Fully aware of latest category trends
Manage the business aspects of the bar, taking inventory, and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that bar is well staffed during peak hours.
Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
Ensuring licenses are updated and in line with current legislation.
Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.
Planning and taking part in promotional events.
Maintaining standard atmosphere for guests.
To observe the Company s rules and procedures and carry out any reasonable request made by their Manager, Supervisor, or the Duty Manager.
To perform weekly maintenance snagging and report needs as they arise

ADMINISTRATION:
To ensure to permanently keep SOP s, manual and recipes up to date
To ensure that all legal requirements are met and properly communicated to the different team members

COMMUNICATION:
To attend/lead daily management briefing sharing relevant information's
To attend weekly management meeting and provide all relevant information's
To ensure and efficient communication interdepartmental
To attend daily team briefing
To communicate in a transparent, efficient, and proactive manner through communication tools
To communicate daily and weekly report to management

FINANCE:
To properly administer and achieve financial reports
To ensure that operational budget is adhered and take corrective action if needed
To monitor expenses and ensure respect of approval process
To control and manage inventory
To manager and control stock levels
To ensure accuracy of cashiering reports

GUESTS RELATION:
To understand and anticipate needs
To handle complaints in a friendly and effective way
To always look for the best solution to fulfil guests expectations
To show genuine interest and built confidence with the guests
To approach and recognize all regular guests
Ensure warm welcome to first comers for them to become your next regulars
To proactively work with all departments

HR & TRAINING:
To provide accurate operational manning forecast
Perpetually look for personal professional knowledge development
Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to guests
To bring support in recruitment of new talents
To monitor team performance
To create weekly rota, vacations plan, succession plan
To facilitate departmental training
To create training report with attendance and topics
Properly communicate sensitive and serious issues to appropriate people
To act as a mentor for new joiners

MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT:
To implement validated marketing tools to improve business performance
To monitor trends
To possess accurate market trend and implement innovative ideas that will generate footfall
To be aware and establish competitor set benchmark

Qualifications:

Essential
High School Diploma.
Bar management experience or more education is generally preferred.
Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
Extensive knowledge of POS system (Micros/ Symphony/People Soft/ Infrasys)

Desirable
Extensive network in Beverage Industry & Brand Principals

Experience:

Essential
3-5 years in similar role
